Contractor: HAJI HASSAN COMPANY B.S.C.
Project Summary: The project aims to develop the infrastructure and upgrade the roads leading to Isa Al-Kabeer Palace, in a manner that is compatible with the cultural and heritage landmarks of the development projects in the area, aligns with the aspirations of residents, and reflects, at the same time, a balance between preserving the authentic Bahraini identity and the requirements of modern urban development, thereby constituting a qualitative addition to infrastructure development projects in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The project works extend to the development of roads and infrastructure over a total length of approximately 1.2 km along Shaikh Abdullah Ave, from its intersection with Shaikh Salman Ave and Shaikh Hamad Causeway westwards, near Bin Matar House, to its intersection with Shaikh Isa Ave eastwards near Shaikh Isa bin Ali Mosque, with the development works extending along Shaikh Isa Ave southwards up to Shaikh Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa House.
The project includes the construction of roads and side pavements, provision of a number of parking spaces, and landscaping and beautification works in the available areas. It also includes the development of underground services, including rainwater drainage network works, sewage network, replacement of the water distribution network, and others. The project also includes the enhancement of urban facades and the unification of lighting elements and commercial signage, reflecting the authentic Bahraini architectural identity.
