Project Summary: These projects aim to improve traffic flow by increasing road capacity and facilitating ease of movement for citizens and residents.
The first project consists of the development of Muhazwarah Ave, Avenue 37, and Al Hajiyat Ave, while the second project includes the development of Muhazwarah Ave and Avenue 37 in Riffa. The third project includes the development of Al Hajiyev Ave and the roundabout located at the intersection of Al Hajiyat Ave and Jeddah Ave.
Muhazwarah Ave, Avenue 37, and Al Hajiyat Ave Development Project in Block 939
The project aims to widen Muhazwarah Ave from two lanes to three lanes starting from Road 3933 to Umm Al Nasan Ave, in order to improve traffic on the avenue. The project will have a positive impact in increasing the avenue capacity from 3,200 vehicles per hour to 4,800 vehicles per hour, representing an increase of 50%.
Muhazwarah Ave and Avenue 37 Development Project in Riffa
The works of the second project include widening Muhazwarah Ave from the intersection of Muhazwarah Ave with Al Hajiyat Ave to National Charter Rd, which will contribute to improving traffic flow on the avenue.
The project also includes widening the avenue by adding a third lane along Muhazwarah Ave in the section between National Charter Hwy and its intersection with Road 3933, with a length of up to 970 meters, along with the development of the intersection, as well as in the section between Road 3701 and Road 3710. The project will also include the construction of a rainwater drainage network and the provision of pedestrian sidewalks.
Al Hajiyat Ave and Roundabout at Al Hajiyat Ave and Jeddah Ave Development Project
The project aims to develop Al Hajiyat Ave and Jeddah Ave and construct a new roundabout between them, which will contribute to increasing the capacity of the intersection of Al Hajiyat Ave by approximately 600 vehicles per hour. As for the roundabout to be introduced at the intersection of Jeddah Ave, it will increase the capacity of the intersection from 800 vehicles per hour to 1,500 vehicles per hour.
