The Ministry of Works, Municipal Affairs and Urban Planning won the "Best Interaction of Government Communication through GCC Social Networks" Award at the Sharjah Government Communication Award. HE The Minister of Works Eng Essam Abdullah Khalaf said that the Ministry won the award, making it the first Bahraini entity to win the Sharjah Government Liaison Award since the establishment of its regional category. In light of the directives of the wise leadership in Bahrain to enhance communication with the public, to raise the level of direct interaction with its audience through various means of social communication, the ministry is the first government agency to use the social media service in the Kingdom since 2011.
He praised the performance and efforts of the Ministry's Communication Department to use social networks to achieve an e-community partnership, as it is one of the most important channels to reach the best development practices. The Ministry has worked to extend communication bridges with its audience by promoting its projects and services. He also praised the continuous communication with many complaints and suggestions that reach the management of communication daily from citizens and residents and follow up with the concerned departments in the roads and sanitation sectors to ensure quick solutions. He appreciated the initiatives of Mr. Fahad Jassim Buallai, Director of Communication Department and the efforts of all members of the administration to provide distinguished services to the public.
For his part, the Director of Communication Department of the Ministry of Works and Municipal Affairs and Urban Planning Mr. Fahad Jassim Buallay said: it is a study conducted by the Department of Communication to measure the impact of mutual interaction between the ministry and the public through social media and the exchange of ideas and comments regarding the performance of the ministry.
In addition to the allocation of a team to manage these channels, which works in accordance with a deliberate methodology to improve the media content of the ministry. It has contributed to enhance the general satisfaction, the formation of a public base supportive of the ministry, leading to the emergence of initiatives positively reflected on the performance of the ministry and ensure the achievement of goals set for the service of the country and the citizens.
HE added: We are pleased to be present at this grand forum of Sharjah for the (Government Contact Award), which is an award from an environment conducive to innovation and creativity in all fields, taking into consideration that the UAE is one of the most Arab countries in the number of awards that encourage creativity and research.
The Sharjah Government Communication Award, under the directives of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and the continuous follow-up of Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qassimi, President of the Sharjah Media Foundation, President of the Sharjah Media Center, has achieved its overall vision to raise the standards of work in the field of government communication in the Gulf Region.
