The Roads Assistant
Undersecretary of the Ministry of Works Eng. Kadhim Abdullatif revealed that
the Ministry has completed the paving of dirt roads in Block 624 in Al Aker at
the Capital Governorate, for the first and second phases, which is part of the
Government’s program aiming to improve infrastructure in the Kingdom, alleviate
traffic congestion and increase traffic safety levels.
Abdullatif explained
that the project comprises of paving a total of 5.9 km long roads, implementing
a storm water drainage network, installing a new lighting network, implementing
ground channels for present and future use, and provide the necessary traffic
safety requirements, while coordinating with service providers in order to
protect the existing services (electricity, water and telecommunications
networks)
The BD
674,400 project was awarded to Eastern Asphalt & Mixed Concrete Co
WLL.
It is worth mentioning that the
Ministry has recently completed the construction of sewage networks in several
areas of Al Aker, and currently has completed the connection of the sewage
network for real estate units located on road No. (2447) in Block 624 at the
same area.
