HE Eng. Esam Bin Abdullah Khalaf, Minister of Works welcomes Mrs. Noufah Ahmed Eid, Head of Public Relations at Communication Directorate, who presented him a Master's Degree in Media and Public Relations from the college of Arts and Sciences, at Al-hlia University, in Media Strategy for the Empowerment of Women in Parliamentary and Municipal Elections to be applied on Bahrain TV)
During the meeting, Mrs. Noufa provided a brief summary of her thesis, which focuses on revealing the objectives of the strategic plan for Bahrain TV in the electoral empowerment of Bahraini women, in addition to identifying the treatments of the strategic plan for the factors influencing the chances of women participating in the parliamentary and municipal elections. Supporting women's confidence and their effective role in democratic and electoral life, and revealing the most important methods of political empowerment of Bahraini women in the strategic media plan, artistic and cultural influences used in Bahraini television programs that helped empower Bahraini women to run in elections and increase their chances of winning. In addition to identifying media obstacles that reduce women's chances of obtaining advanced results in parliamentary and municipal elections.
The Minister highlighted the efforts of the employee in obtaining this distinguished scientific degree, praising the scientific researches and reports related directly to the media efforts and awareness programs, and obtaining honorable results in the political participation of Bahraini women through the first woman winning the post of Speaker of the House of Representatives in the 2018 elections.
He also praised the progress of the communication directorate efforts in the ministry during the last decade by obtaining several awards and certificates at the national level in responding to the citizens to meet their requests and respond to the remarks and highlight the Ministry's projects and achievements, wishing the employee success in contributing to further development and modernization in the interest of work.
