Aware of the need to enhance awareness and intensify media efforts to tackle the misconduct committed by some parties who pour grease into sewage drains and inspection chambers, the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs & Urban Planning is reopening the case of dumping grease into sewage drains, which leads to severe health and environmental problems because of the impact such an act has on the performance and operation of sewerage networks. The Ministry urges citizens to strictly adhere to the instructions/guidelines needed to maintain the performance and sustainability of the network; being a public property of the country that serves a large part of the society whether towns or other areas and districts.
