Engineer Shaikh Mishal bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Works, affirmed that the ministry has completed the Kuwait Health Centre Expansion and Development Project in Karzakan, noting that the project reflects the ministry's commitment to supporting the ongoing development of the healthcare sector in line with the objectives of Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 and enhancing the quality of healthcare services provided to citizens and residents.
The statement was made during an inspection visit by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Works, accompanied by Dr. Ejlal Faisal Al Alawi, Chief Executive Officer of Primary Health Care Centres, to the Kuwait Health Centre, marking the completion of the project.
During the visit, Shaikh Mishal bin Mohammed Al Khalifa explained that the project is one of the ministry's service projects that was redesigned in accordance with green building standards and specifications, in line with the government's policy of rationalising energy consumption, with the aim of protecting the environment and promoting the sustainability of natural resources.
The undersecretary added that the expansion works included the renovation and refurbishment of part of the existing building, in addition to the construction of a two-story extension at the front of the center. The ground floor comprises administrative offices, a meeting room, and consultants' offices, while the first floor houses a fully integrated dental clinic department along with its supporting services.
He noted that the Kuwait Health Centre in Karzakan is one of the key projects aimed at expanding healthcare services. He explained that the project forms part of a comprehensive plan to upgrade primary healthcare centers through the implementation of qualitative projects that enhance patients' experience, improve operational efficiency, and provide an integrated healthcare environment that meets the needs of citizens and residents.
For her part, Dr. Ejlal Faisal Al Alawi, Chief Executive Officer of Primary Health Care Centers, said that the development and expansion of the Kuwait Health Centre in Karzakan reflects the organization's commitment to upgrading the infrastructure of its healthcare facilities to deliver better services to the community. She added that the project will enhance patients' experience and provide a modern healthcare environment that meets the needs of citizens and residents. She also underscored the importance of continued coordination among government entities in implementing healthcare projects in accordance with the highest standards, contributing to sustainability and improving the efficiency of healthcare service delivery.
