Engineer Maryam Abdullah Ameen, Assistant Undersecretary for Construction and Maintenance Projects at the Ministry of Works, affirmed that the Bahrain Kuwait Health Centre project in Qalali, which falls under the Primary Health Care Centers, has reached 46% completion. She noted that the project forms part of the Ministry's ongoing efforts to develop infrastructure supporting the healthcare sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain, thereby enhancing the quality of healthcare services provided to citizens and residents.
The Assistant Undersecretary explained that the project is being constructed in an area of 6,828 square meters and consists of a two-story main building. The ground floor will include 14 consultation clinics, 14 examination rooms, and an emergency department with a capacity of 12 beds. The first floor will comprise a maternal and child healthcare department, eight dental clinics, as well as supporting medical and administrative service facilities.
She pointed out that the project's design adheres to the highest approved health and engineering standards, while complying with sustainability and green building requirements. The project will also incorporate energy-efficiency systems aimed at conserving the environment and natural resources.
Engineer Ameen praised the support provided by the Bahrain Kuwait Bank for this vital project and its active contribution to the Kingdom's development efforts, reflecting a successful model of partnership between the public and private sectors and supporting the objectives of Bahrain's comprehensive development process.
The project is being executed by Mohammed Jalal Contracting Company, while Adel Ahmadi Associates serves as the project consultant.
