MoW’s Coordination Committee at the Central Governorate visited the Head of the Central Municipal Council (Member of District 9) Abdul Razzaq Al Hattab to discuss needs and priorities related to infrastructure projects and projects presently under implementation. Mr. Al Hattab commended the Ministry’s cooperation and constant follow up and communication with Municipal Councils to accommodate and attend to people’s needs. Hattab requested speeding up pavement works at District 5, especially Road 2118 in Block 721. The Ministry informed him that the pavement of this particular road and other surrounding roads is included within the Ministry’s Program for opening new roads 2013-2014, where 60% progress has been achieved in the detailed designs. Implementation will commence once the designs are completed, approval of all technical services involved is obtained and budget is approved for the tendering of the project. Mr. Al Hattab suggested a temporary paving to the road to avoid further delay.
