MoW’s Roads Projects & Maintenance Director Raed Al Salah revealed that the Ministry has commenced the re-construction of Bab Al Bahrain Avenue, which comprises of revamping 796m long of Bab Al Bahrain Avenue; extending from Sheikh Abdulla Avenue to Isa Al Kabeer Avenue. Work is expected to take 20 weeks to complete. The BD178,558 project was awarded to Mohsin Haji Ali Group. ‘The project is part of the Ministry’s programs and plans to develop the roads network and keep in pace with the economic and urban boom in Bahrain,’ said Al Salah. ‘By reconstructing old and deteriorated roads, we seek to alleviate traffic congestions, increase roads’ capacity and safety levels,’ he added.
