HE the Minister of Works Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf received at his office MP Adel Abdul Rahman Al Asoomi, in the presence of District 1 representative at the Capital Municipal Council Ghazi Al Dosari, the Roads Assistant Undersecretary Huda Fakhro, Sanitary Engineering Planning & Projects Director Asma Murad a number of engineers from the Ministry. At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister commended the efforts extended by MP Al Asoomi and his constant follow-up to Hoora’a and Gudaibiya’s residents’ requests and needs; explaining that the Ministry of Works always seeks to provide high quality services to citizens.
 
MP Al Asoomi requested the paving of a number of roads in Hoora and Gudaibiya. MoW’s engineers directed for the implementation of revamp works for internal roads, while requests covering main roads are being reviewed. Also, Al Asoomi requested the inclusion of 2 branch roads of Abdul Rahman Al Dakhil Avenue within the overall revamp of the Avenue, revamping roads 2113, 2114 and 2115 besides the blocks presently being revamped. There were also suggestions to pave roads and pathways located on the west of Raba’a Al Adawiya School in Block 308 (Roads 805, 811, 813, 818, 822 and 823), in addition to re-structuring Roads 1805 parallel to Exhibition Road and converting some internal roads into one-way roads to reduce congestion and provide bigger parking spaces. MP Al Asoomi and Municipal Member Al Dosari extended their thanks to the Minister and MoW’s officials for their constant follow- up and efforts, indicating the improvement in the sewage water flooding issues following rainy seasons; thanks to the efforts extended by the Ministry’s engineers.
