HE the Minister of Works Eng. Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf received at his office MP Othman Sharif, in the presence of Director for Sanitary projects Asmaa Murad and Roads Planning & Design Director Eng. Kadhim Abdul Latif. During the meeting, Khalaf lauded the efforts extended by MPs, reiterating the importance of communicating effectively with those representing the people of Bahrain from both the Council of Representatives and the Municipal Councils in order to provide better services to citizens and residents throughout Bahrain. The meeting also highlighted roads, sanitary and infrastructure needs at District 7 in Muharraq Governorate, particularly Arad, Halat Noaim and Halat Al Solta.
 
This comes in line with directives from HRH the Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa to improve infrastructure in the area. ‘The Ministry of Works is aiming to revamp a number of intersections in Arad by transforming them into traffic signal controlled intersections, which will consequently increase the capacity of roads in Arad,’ said the Minister Khalaf. ‘The intersections planned for revamp are the intersection of Road 4409 with Avenue 44, the intersection of Road 4402 with Hatim Al Taei Avenue, the intersection of Avenue 47 with Hatim Al Taei Avenue and the intersection of Avenue 46 with Avenue 47,’ explained Khalaf. MP Othman Sharif lauded the efforts extended by the Ministry of Works and its team of engineers to maintain communication with MPs and municipal members and serve the people of Bahrain.
