HE the Minister of Works Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf inspected the sewage network revamp project in Jasra, accompanied by Sanitary Engineering Planning & Projects Director Asma Murad, the Project’s Manager, the supervision technical team from the Ministry and the consultant EM Consulting, and the company implementing the project ‘Frisch & Faust Tiefbau.

The BD3.2 million project consists of the revamp of 10940m pipes with diameters varying between 150-400mm. During the visit, the Minister explained that the project is an essential part of the sewage networks revamp projects, all of which are considered as vital strategic projects incorporated within the strategic master plan for the sanitary engineering sector. The project is being implemented using the latest “Calibrated Pipe Bursting, Cast In-Place Pipe and Pipe Bursting Techniques”, which aim to reduce the seepage of groundwater to sewage networks.
