Ministry of Works’ Assistant Undersecretary for Roads Huda Fakhro and Assistant Undersecretary for Sanitary Engineering Khalifa Al Mansoor met with Muharraq Governorate municipal representatives Mohammed Al Motawa and Khalid Bu Anq, and Southern Governorate municipal representatives Ali Al Muhanadi and Badr Al Dossari. The meeting was also attended by MoW’s Coordination & Follow-Up Committee Faisal Al Rayyash.

During the meeting, a number of issues relating to the ministry’s plans and projects were discussed, especially roads and sanitary engineering needs and requirements at Muharraq and Southern Governorates. Mr. Bu Anq referred to the need to revamp Qalali Avenue and repave and maintain the second part of block 212 in Qalali, in addition to the revamp of a number of other roads in block 254 in the same area.

Regarding the southern governorate, municipal representative Al Mohanadi highlighted the need to revamp block 912 and Avenue 1205 in block 912. He also referred to rainwater drainage in blocks 902, 904, 908, 910 and 912. Municipal representative Al Dossari discussed the revamp of block 1055 on Zallaq Highway and the exit point to Zallaq village, in addition to the revamp of block 1056, Avenue 55 and pavements in block 1056.

Municipal representatives expressed their trust in the Ministry’s keenness to answer citizens’ needs and follow up the different projects planned for each area.
