Eng. Ahmed Sami Al Tajer, Assistant Undersecretary for Roads at the Ministry of Works, confirmed that the Ministry has commenced the implementation of the Jaradah Road Development Project in Riffa, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the Kingdom of Bahrain's road infrastructure and improve traffic safety across the Kingdom.
Al Tajer explained that the project includes the development of Jaradah Road over a total length of approximately 650 meters, converting it into a dual carriageway with one lane in each direction separated by a central median, in addition to the construction of a new roundabout to facilitate U-turns and improve traffic flow.
The project also includes the installation of a stormwater drainage network, the construction of pedestrian walkways and parking spaces, the installation of modern street lighting, and the placement of traffic signs and road markings, along with other works aimed at enhancing road safety for all users.
The Assistant Undersecretary for Roads noted that the road construction works will be carried out concurrently with the relocation and protection of utility services belonging to the relevant service authorities whose existing infrastructure conflicts with the project works.
The Ministry of Works calls on citizens, residents, and residents of the surrounding area to cooperate and adhere to the warning and directional signs throughout the project implementation period to ensure their safety and the safety of all road users.
