Engineer Shaikh Mishal bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Works, conducted a site visit to the Sewerage Network Project in Block 457, Bu Quwah, to review the progress of works. The project has reached 24% completion and will provide sewerage services to 875 properties as part of the ministry's efforts to expand access to this vital service and provide a safe and healthy environment for citizens.

During the visit, the undersecretary was briefed on the details of the project, which includes the construction of 2.437 kilometers of main sewer lines, 19.180 kilometers of lateral sewer lines, and a 91-metre pipeline installed using tunnelling technology. The works also include the construction of 363 main manholes and 859 lateral manholes, in addition to the completion of all required road reinstatement works following the installation of the sewerage network.

The undersecretary noted that sewerage projects are aimed at achieving the sustainable development of the sector and providing high-quality services across all areas of the Kingdom of Bahrain. He added that the Ministry of Works continues to support the Kingdom's urban and investment expansion by connecting residential and commercial properties to the sewerage network, thereby extending the benefits of this essential public service.

The Ministry of Works called on citizens, residents, and road users in the area to cooperate by adhering to the warning signs and traffic guidance throughout the implementation period to ensure their safety.

The project was awarded by the Tender Board to Al Dour Construction Company at a value of BD 5.827 million and is being supervised by the consulting firm Stantec Khonji.
