Engineer Hamad Ibrahim Baddo, Director of Roads Projects and Maintenance Directorate at the Ministry of Works, announced that the ministry has commenced the Road 2904 Development Project in Block 329 in Salmaniya, Capital Governorate. The road is located west of Salmaniya Medical Complex and the Arabian Gulf University, extending from its intersection with Salmaniya Avenue in the north to its intersection with King Abdulaziz Road in the south, with a total length of approximately 600 metres.
Baddo stated that the project forms part of the Ministry of Works' ongoing efforts to develop the Kingdom of Bahrain's road network and enhance traffic safety in key areas. He noted that the project aims to regulate traffic movement, improve traffic flow, reorganise and increase parking capacity, and reduce illegal and random parking, thereby easing congestion and providing a safer road environment for all users.
He added that the scope of the project includes the reconstruction of the road infrastructure, the relocation and protection of underground utilities, the construction of a stormwater drainage network, the development of pedestrian pavements and parking spaces, as well as the installation of the necessary traffic signs and road markings.
In this regard, the Ministry of Works urged all road users to adhere to the traffic signs and instructions at the work site to ensure public safety and maintain smooth traffic flow.
