​Engineer Shaikh Mishal bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Works, and Ziyad Adel Darwish, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Development, conducted an inspection visit to the Comprehensive Disability Complex Maintenance Project in A'ali.

On the occasion, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Works affirmed that the Comprehensive Disability Complex is an integrated facility comprising several specialized centers serving people with different types of disabilities. He noted that the complex contributes to safeguarding the interests of citizens, particularly persons with disabilities, by expanding their access to a wide range of services and supporting their integration into society, while promoting the principle of equal opportunities for all members of the community.

He explained that the maintenance project has reached 100% completion, adding that the works included a comprehensive package of civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical upgrades carried out in accordance with the highest approved technical standards and specifications.

For his part, Ziyad Adel Darwish, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Development, expressed his appreciation for the Ministry of Works' efforts in implementing the maintenance project at the Comprehensive Disability Complex in A'ali. He commended the close coordination between the two ministries, which reflects their shared commitment to providing an integrated and safe service environment that meets the needs of persons with disabilities.

He added that the project represents a significant step towards enhancing the quality of services provided to persons with disabilities and supports the ministry's efforts to empower them through access to care and rehabilitation within modern facilities equipped to the highest standards. He noted that this will contribute to their effective integration into society and support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
