HE the Minister of Works Eng. Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf received at his office the Chairman of the Central Municipal Council & representative to the Seventh Constituency Mr. Abdul Razzaq Hattab, where they discussed roads and sanitary projects at the Governorate.
At the beginning of the meeting, which was attended by Roads Acting Assistant Undersecretary Raed Al Salah, Sanitary Engineering Planning & Projects Director Asma Murad and a number of engineers from the Ministry, Khalaf said that the Ministry is keen to follow-up all projects in different areas in order to attend to citizens’ needs and keep up with the objectives of the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.
Hattab raised a number of issues regarding the needs and requirements at the various constituencies in the Central Governorate, particularly at the seventh constituency. He presented the Minister with a number of suggestions, including studying entrance and exit points to the area, providing access to Road 1329 in Block 913 from Riffa Avenue, providing access to Road 1723 in Block 917 also from Riffa Avenue, installing a traffic signal at the Intersection of Noon and Umm Al Na’asan Avenue, re-paving sand roads in Block 917, maintaining roads in Blocks 913 and 915, maintaining Road 2109 and adding Roads 2110 & 2112 in Block 921. As for revamping Al Daibal, Abu Shaheen, Al Noon and Al Ezil Avenues; Road 1311, designs have been completed and approvals obtained.
Regarding sanitary projects, the meeting highlighted the sanitary project in A’Ali; Blocks 746 & 748, which is presently under implementation. A number of other issues were also highlighted, including the issue of rain water flood in Blocks 746, 913, 915, 918 and 921 in Riffa. The Ministry completed a number of rain water drainage projects in Roads 1319, 1712, 1708, 1901, 2307, 1514 and 1517.
