HE the Minister of Works Eng. Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf received at his office the Japanese Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain H.E. Mr. Shigeki Sumi, in the presence of Commercial Attaché Mr. Hiroyuki Mitsui, the Supreme Council for Environment’s Chief Executive Dr. Adel Al Zayani and MoW’s Sanitary Engineering Operation & Maintenance Director Ebrahim Al Hawaj.
 
During the meeting, the Minister commended the outstanding relations between Manama and Tokyo on the commercial, economic and industrial levels. The meeting also discussed the upcoming Sanitary Engineering Forum for Japanese Expertise, which is to take place in January, 20, 2014 at the Bahrain Society for Engineers in coordination between the Ministry of Works and the Japanese Embassy. A number of Japanese experts from the Lands, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Ministry will conduct workshops aiming to contribute to providing best solutions to the environmental issues at Tubli Bay.
 
The Minister Khalaf and the Japanese Ambassador discussed the Memorandum that was previously signed between Bahrain and Japan.
