MoW’s Roads Projects & Maintenance Director Eng. Raed Al Salah revealed that the Ministry has achieved 72% completion in the re-construction of Bab Al Bahrain Avenue Project, which includes developing 1300 meters of Bab Al Bahrain Avenue; extending from Sheikh Abdulla Avenue to Isa Al Kabeer Avenue.
The project comprises of repaving roads with brick, implementing a water drainage system, a parking lot, speed humps, and installing light poles in collaboration with the Electricity & Water Authority.
‘Selecting Bab Al Bahrain Avenue for revamp comes in response to the Municipal Council recommendation and also out of the Ministry of Works’ keenness to improve the infrastructure or this vital touristic and commercial avenue,’ said Al Salah.
‘The revamp of Bab Al Bahrain Avenue will ease traffic congestions, and increase the capacity and traffic safety levels of the road.’ he added.
