MoW’s Roads Projects & Maintenance Director Eng. Raed Al Salah revealed that the Ministry has achieved 85% progress in the revamp of Al Mohazwara Avenue, which is a vital road connecting Umm Al Na’asan Avenue to Estiqlal Highway; serving residents of Riffa and Isa Town.

 

‘The project comprises of transforming the old roundabout into a traffic signal, implementing a rain water drainage network, lighting, providing the highest safety levels based on International standards, protecting existing services, signage and expanding roads at some directions,’ said Al Salah.

 

The BD754,144 project was awarded to Jalal Al A’Ali & Sons. A number of changes have been made to the Avenue, in addition to some changes in the design upon a request from the Municipal Council Representative. Also a new Road (3957) along Al Mohazwara Avenue has been opened to the residents in the area, which will be implemented by time contracts once the approval is obtained.
