MoW’s Public Relations & Media Director Fahad Buallay revealed that the Ministry’s Community Service Department received a total of 544 requests and complaints during the third quarter of 2014. He explained that the figures reflect citizens’ and residents’ active interaction with the Ministry of Works with regards to the services provided by the Ministry and the various projects implemented by the Ministry.

This also comes in response to directives from HRH the Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and directives from HRH the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa urging the Ministry to respond to citizens’ requests and complaints promptly. According to Buallay, the roads sector received 419 requests and complaints during the 3rd quarter of this year, while the sanitary engineering sector received 89 requests and complaints during the same period. ‘July registered a total of 150 requests, while August registered 147 requests and September 247 requests. ‘Other complaints were referred to us from other directorates at the Ministry, with a total of 18 requests and complaints. Regarding the Roads Sector, most requests were about maintaining pavements and roads, revamping roads and avenues, and paving new roads, while the sanitary sector targeted requests to implement and revamp sewerage networks, create storm water drains and connecting houses to the sewage networks,’ explained Buallay.
