Jan 2013: MoW’s Roads Projects & Maintenance Director Raed Al Salah revealed that the Ministry has recently completed the revamp of Blocks 602 & 604 in Sitra. The BD227,199 project was awarded to Al Tadamon Excavation. ‘The Ministry of Works created new roads at a length of 2.8km, which are to connect 217 residential units to the main road network, therefore facilitating movement in the area and increasing traffic safety levels,’ said Al Salah. ‘Works comprised replacing old pavements with category ‘A’ layers, implementing ground pipes for future use, lighting, asphalting and signage works.’ he added.
 
The Ministry is revamping roads on different areas and locations in the Kingdom as part of a defined time agenda that aims to upgrade and revamp villages in the Kingdom’s various Governorates. This is being done in coordination with Municipal Councils in order to provide high quality services to citizens and residents
