MoW’s Roads Projects & Maintenance Director Raed Al Salah revealed that the Ministry has commenced the revamp of Sehla Avenue; extending from its interchange with Budaiya Highway to Avenue 33. Works are expected to last for 32 weeks. ‘The total length of roads to undergo revamp works in the project is 3.789km. Works comprise of removing the present safety barriers and implement safety barriers on the median of the road; with the iron pedestrian barrier installed on a concrete barrier,’ said Al Salah. ‘Works also include improving the lighting system, repaving part of the road, and implementing rainwater drainage system,’ he added.
