MoW’s Sanitary Engineering Operation & Maintenance Directorate organized an awareness seminar for trainees on the techniques used at Tubli Sewage Treatment Plant. A number of presentations and issues were discussed amongst the trainees at the seminar. The seminar highlighted wastewater pollutants (physical, biological and chemical) and ways of sterilizing sewerage water before transferring it to farms. Also, filter techniques used to treat sewerage water were discussed, in addition to the development of existing filters to improve their efficiency and increase the amount of treated waters used for irrigation and agriculture.
