MoW’s Roads Assistant Undersecretary Huda Fakhro visited Al Mazari Avenue Revamp Project, accompanied by District 4 Municipal Council member at the Northern Governorate Jassim Jaber Al Dossari, District 9 member Mohammed Mahdi and a number of engineers from the Ministry. During the visit, Fakhro explained that the project is part of the Ministry’s plan to develop the road network in the Kingdom. She also added that revamping Al Mazari Avenue will increase its capacity and preserve it for a longer time. ‘Early maintenance to roads and avenues reduces the cost of maintaining roads when deteriorated,’ she said. The project’s manager explained that the Ministry has revamped Al Mazari Avenue in Jasra at a cost of BD698,812. The project was awarded to Bahrain Motors, and is now 50% complete. Works involved in the project are divided into 2 phases; phase 1 is reconstructing 40% of the avenue, while phase 2 is maintaining and revamping 60% of the avenue.
