HE the Minister of Works Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf toured Hawar Avenue Revamp Project; extending from Jaw to Askar. The Minister was accompanied by MP Khamis Al Romaihi, Southern Governor Faisal Al Naimi and a number of MoW’s engineers. During the visit, the Minister explained that the revamp of Jaw Village comprises of the re-construction and revamp of old and deteriorated roads in the Southern Governorate, particularly Blocks 960 & 965. The roads to undergo revamp works extend at a length of 22.5km. 5855m long roads are 6m wide and 2640m long are 7.5m wide. Works also include revamping Hawar Avenue at a length of 1460m each direction. Revamp works in Jaw commenced since January 2011. The BD2.237.310 project was awarded to Bahrain Pipeline Construction Company.
