Under the patronage of HE the Minister of Works Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf, Bahrain is to host the 9th International Conference on Concrete in Hot and Aggressive Environments from 11-13 February, 2013 at Gulf Hotel in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Bahrain Society for Engineers’ President Dr. Abdul Majeed Al Qassab revealed that the conference will present over 45 research papers; highlighting concrete in hot and aggressive environments, deterioration and repair of concrete establishments, study cases for some projects, development of materials used in concrete, and concrete design and construction. ‘The conference will bring together experts, engineers, designers, researchers and scientists from around the world to promote better understanding of matters of common interests to all stakeholders. This is a great opportunity for Bahraini engineers and specialists to benefit from,’ said Dr. Al Qassab.
