MoW’s Roads Assistant Undersecretary Huda Fakhro met with Municipal Council member in District 7 in Muharraq Ali Al Moqla, in the presence of a number of engineers from the Ministry, to discuss roads and infrastructure needs in the district. During the meeting, a number of issues related to roads projects in the area were highlighted. Mr. Al Moqla raised a number of requests related to constructing parking spaces in a number of locations in District 7, opening Road 4014 in Block 240 and a number of other roads.

 

Fakhro explained that the Ministry is presently completing acquisition procedures for the construction of parking lots close to 4224. The Ministry will also contact the Survey & Land Registration Bureau to check the ownership of lands affected by the acquisition process. As for the opening of Road 4014 in Block 240, Fakhro explained that the request is being reviewed by the Ministry. At the end of the meeting, Mr. Al Moqla extended thanks to the Ministry of Works for their follow-up; highlighting the importance of collaboration between the Ministry and Municipal Councils.
