MoW’s Roads Projects & Maintenance Director Raed Al Salah revealed that the Ministry of Works is constructing a 400m long entrance road to Zayed Town Housing from Sheikh Salman Highway. The BD160,000 project was awarded to National Excavations EST. ‘The Ministry of Works pays special attention to creating proper entrance roads to all new residential areas in Bahrain, in order to facilitate residents’ movement to and from their residents,’ said Al Salah. Municipal Council Member at District 4 in the Central Governorate Mr. Ghazi Al Hamer commended the Ministry’s approach towards implementing this project, which was a request that residents in the area raised to the Municipal Council to ease pressure on the Ministry of Labour’s Avenue and alleviate traffic congestions extending to Isa Town Gate Flyover. Al Hamer explained that the new entrance will serve 516 residential units, in addition topeople using this road.
