HE the Minister of Works Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf visited District 3 at the Southern Governorate (Wadi Al Sail, Safra and Block 906 in Arrodha). The Minister was accompanied by Southern Governorate Municipal Council Head Mohsin Al Bakri, Roads Assistant Undersecretary Huda Fakhro and Sanitary Engineering Assistant Secretary Khalifa Al Mansoor.

The Minister Khalaf lauded the collaboration between the Ministry of Works and Municipal Councils; highlighting the need to constantly enhance communication between the Ministry and all municipal councils at all Governorates. During the visit, Al Bakri raised a number of recommendations to revamp roads and blocks in Wadi Al Sail, Safra and Arrodha, including revamping Block 944, implementing an iron fence along Road 4428 in Safra Block 944, revamping Road 4429 in Safra Block 944, which is considered to be one of the oldest roads in Safra, maintaining Road 4413 in Safra Block 944, due to its importance as a vital road serving an active area where the Public Security Supermarket is located. Road 4413, which also leads to Safra Mosque, is full of holes and suffers from worn out asphalt. As for Wadi Al Sail Block 928, Al Bakri suggested constructing a parking lot for the mosque in Road 2819, which is the only mosque in the area serving 1000 people.

HE also suggested revamping Avenue 2830 in Block 928; aiming to alleviate traffic congestion in the area, which has only 1 entrance. At the end of the visit, Al Bakri extended thanks to the Minister and the Ministry for their constant support and collaboration with municipal councils, pledging support from the Southern Municipal Council until all projects implemented by the Ministry are complete.
