The Ministry of Works has recently implemented safety barriers on Sh. Isa bin Salman Causeway; linking Manama to Muharraq. The BD269,417 project was awarded to Abdulla Ahmed Nass Contracting Company. According to Roads Projects & Maintenance Director and Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Roads Raed Al Salah, the project aims to increase safety levels on the causeway.

 

There have been directives from HRH the Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa to implement the project to provide utmost safety on the causeway, which previously witnessed a number of fatal accidents. The Ministry extends thanks to citizens and residents for their cooperation and adherence to traffic directions and traffic diversions instructions during the implementation of the project.
