During a visit to a number of government schools, MoW’s Assistant Undersecretary for Construction Projects & Maintenance Mohammed Hussain Al Mubarak revealed that the Ministry has allocated BD2.5 Million to maintain 42 government boys and girls schools of different stages, in agreement with the Ministry of Education. Building and electrical works are being implemented by 50 contractors.

 

Maintenance works, which are included within the maintenance plan for this year, have been planned by the Building Maintenance Directorate since the beginning of the year.

 

The directorate is currently supervising works at the 42 schools. Works comprise painting the buildings from the inside and outside, fixing construction cracks, replacing floors and stair steps, maintaining water connections, health tools and electrical connections.
