The Ministry of Works has started constructing new roads in A’Ali; block 742, at a cost of BD767.000. The project was awarded to Al A'ali & Al Sayed Transport & Excavation, and will take 32 weeks to complete. Roads Assistant Undersecretary Huda Abdulla Fakhro toured the project location, accompanied by Roads Planning & Design Director Khadim Abdul Latif, Head of Municipal Council at the Central Governorate Abdul Razzaq Hattab and a number of engineers from the Ministry.
‘The project will provide a 6.44km long roads network to 470 housing units and establishments. The roads to benefit from phase 1 of the project, which will complete in August 2012, are roads 4279, 4278, 4263, 4262 and 4258,’ said Fakhro. ‘Phase 2 of the project will serve roads 4265, 4267, 4266, 4268, 4269 and 4270, and will complete in September 2012, while the final phase will serve roads 4273, 4274 and 4272 (A & B), and will complete in October 2012,’ she added.
