Mr. Ebrahim Hasan Al Hawaj, Director of Sanitary Engineering & Maintenance at the Ministry of Works said a total of 8123 reports were received by the Reports and Complaints Centre on telephone No.80001810 during the first half of this year. A total of 7848 reports were dealt with within an hour or less of filing reports. There were also 76 people who used the Sanitary Drainage Complaints Service on the e-Government portal www.bahrain.bh and the Ministry’s website www.works.gov.bh since the beginning of 2012. Al Hawaj added Manama was the area from which reports were received. During the first six months of this year, a total of 2080 reports were submitted and of these a total of 2013 reports were dealt with within one hour or less. It was followed by Muharraq with 1861 reports of which 1807 were dealt with within one hour or less. In the Southern Area, a total of 1763 reports were attended to within an hour or less out of a total of 1837 reports to the Ministry. In the Central Area, the Contact Centre received 1265 reports of which some 1135 reports were dealt with during a maximum of one hour. The Northern Area submitted a total of 1169 reports and of these a total of 1130 reports were responded to within an hour or less.
