MoW’s Public Relations & Media Director Fahad Buallay revealed that the Ministry received 302 requests during the first half of 2012, with an average of 11 requests each day, most of which are related to the roads sector. ‘The number of requests listed in the roads sector reached 276 requests, while the sanitary engineering sector received 26 requests. The Ministry responded to 78 requests only within 10 days of receiving them,’ said Buallay. ‘We have directives from HE the Minister Essam Khalaf to respond to urgent requests in less than 10 days. While with the other requests we took the time to go through each one of them and take the appropriate procedure.’ added Buallay.
According to Mr. Buallay, the Ministry of Works is always keen on communicating with citizens and responding to their requests and complaints without delay; in line with the strategy aiming to enhance communication. ‘We urge all citizens and residents to directly contact the Ministry through our twitter account @Bahrain_Works, or our contact numbers 17545544, and fax 17533974, and also through our email complain@works.gov.bh,’ said Buallay.
