HE the Minister of Works paid a visit to Isa Sports City complex in Isa Town to review the progress of ongoing works undertaken by the Ministry on behalf of the General Organisation of Youth and Sports, to prepare the sports facilities at the Complex for the upcoming GCC Games commencing on Tuesday 11th October 2011.
HE inspected the upgrading and refurbishment work presently in progress at the National Stadium, as well as the preparation works in hand to ready the three new Sports Halls to provide state of the art venues for many of the sports that form part of the Games taking place next week.
HE also took the opportunity to reconfirm the Ministry of Works’ steadfast commitment to supporting the Kingdom of Bahrain in its endeavours to promote sporting and cultural ties between the GCC nations.
