HE the Minister of Works Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf received in his office MP Ali Al Zayid and Central Municipal Council member Yousif Al Sabagh.

The Minister welcomed Al Zayid and Al Sabagh and extended his thanks and appreciation for all the efforts extended by them to address citizens’ needs in the area; all the while reiterating the important role played by MPs and members of municipal councils to follow up citizens’ needs and requirements.

During the meeting, citizens’ needs in Riffa and Al Nuwaidrat were highlighted, which included roads revamp projects and a number of sanitary engineering and infrastructure projects and services. One of the projects discussed was constructing roads leading to Hawara and Sanad Housing Project and also revamping Al Bayina Avenue. The Ministry of Works has recently completed the revamp of Al Saya Avenue.

The meeting also highlighted developing Alba Roundabout and Road 2559 in Riffa, and block 931, in addition to the implementation of storm water networks projects and pumping stations in blocks 929 and 939.

Al Zayid and Al Sabagh expressed appreciation and admiration towards all the efforts extended by staff at the Ministry of Works, and their prompt responses and constant cooperation with MPs and municipal councils members.
