GOVERNMENT EXCELLENCE AWARD FOR BEST EPROJECT 2015

On the occasion of winning the best eProject Award, HE the Minister of Works, Municipalities & Urban Planning Eng. Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf received at his office the Ministry's Information Technology Team, in the presence of the Acting Undersecretary and Assistant Undersecretary for Technical Services Eng. Ahmed Al Khayyat and the Assistant Undersecretary for Resources & Information Sheikh Nasser bin Mohammed Al Khalifa. The award was granted to the Ministry​ during the opening of the eGovernment Forum 2015, which was held under the patronage of HH Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Information & Communication Technology Sheikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, where he congratulated all members of the IT team.

HE the Minister of Works, Municipalities & Urban Planning expressed honor at being granted the award, and commended the efforts extended by all members who worked on this electronic service and whose dedication earned the Ministry the award; which is yet another award to be added to the list of awards since 2009.

The Minister Khalaf explained that the Ministry, which is constantly following directives from HRH the Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, is striving to facilitate and expedite services provided to citizens. The Ministry is also keen to improve the quality and quantity of electronic services and provide proper IT infrastructure.

Eng. Al Khayyat stated that the Ministry winning the best eProject award for their EDMS project is a result of the improvement they made in the technical solutions provided to users and also a result of the Information Technology Directorate's success in establishing a solid and efficient electronic infrastructure.

Al Khayyat also added that the Ministry is one of the lea​​ding ministries in improving the use of electronic services. He also added that the Ministry participated in all Excellence Awards categories for the government sector and managed to earn a place in the first three positions.   ​
