The Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs & Urban Planning received students from the University of Bahrain as part of the practical training required for their graduation. The students' specializations varied between civil, architectural, mechanical and electrical engineering, in addition to accounting, media and chemistry sciences.
At the beginning of the meeting, Chief of Training and Development briefed the students on the objective of the summer training project adopted by the Ministry, which has been initiated based on the Ministry's belief in the importance of collaborating with universities and training institutes in order to prepare and qualify human cadres to enter the labor market in the present and in the future. The chief also urged them to take optimum advantage of this opportunity to benefit from the expertise of the Ministry's engineers from different directorates and apply the theoretical studies learned at the university in the practical training.
Later, the students were distributed amongst the different directorates; each according to his/her specialization. The training takes place in July and August, and students are granted a certificate from the Ministry indicating that they have completed their training at the Ministry.
