MoW’s Roads Projects & Maintenance Director Raed Al Salah revealed that the Ministry has commenced the revamp of Beirut Avenue, Road 702 and roads around Isa Town Intermediate Girls School. Work is expected to take 20 weeks to complete. ‘The total length of roads to undergo revamp works is 1.758m, located between Blocks 807 and 810. Works comprise of revamping Beirut Avenue and Road 702, constructing parking spaces near Isa Town Intermediate Girls School, re-paving roads and pavements, implementing a drainage system and tanks for sewerage water collection, in addition to lighting works implemented in collaboration with the Electricity & Water Authority,’ said Al Salah. The BD199,916 project was awarded to Abdul Karim Al Jahrami Contracting.
