Roads Assistant Undersecretary Huda Fakhro met with Municipal Council Member and representative of District 1 at the Capital Governorate Ghazi Al Dosari, where they discussed the revamp of Palace Avenue. Fakhro explained that the main objective behind replacing the Palace Roundabout at Oqba Bin Nafi Interchange with a traffic signal controlled interchange is to synchronize the timing of this particular traffic signal with all other traffic signals along the Palace Avenue.
Fakhro and Al Dosari also looked into a proposal to open Al Zubara Avenue and Palace Avenue Interchange and install a traffic signal at the interchange that is linked to the other traffic signals along the Palace Avenue, which could alleviate traffic congestion during peak hours and provide a news access to the residential and commercial areas close by.
Al Dosari requested the Ministry to temporarily pave Road 2134 leading to Ahmed Al Omran School.
