MoW’s Roads Projects & Maintenance Director Raed Al Salah revealed that the Ministry is preparing for the painting of causeways, phase 3, which will cover the causeways along Sheikh Hamad Highway. According to Al Salah, phase 3 of the project comprises of painting the causeways along Sheikh Hamad Highway leading to Durrat Al Bahrain. The BD198,467,530 (Thousands) project was awarded to Jalal Al A’Ali and Sons. ‘Works include preparing concrete surfaces to effectively receive layers of paint that prevent the decay of concrete due to carbonization and salt factors. Work may also require traffic diversions to ensure the quality of work in line with specifications adopted by the Ministry of Works,’ said Al Salah.
