The Ministry of Works has recently completed the development of Al Ghoos Road, Road No.11 and Road No.2651 which serve citizens and residents in Busaiteen District and the neighbouring areas. The completed works will contribute to improving the flow of traffic, increase road capacity, reduce traffic congestion and enhance road safety standards. The project, which cost a total of BD1,066,322, was carried out by the Contractors Mohsin Haji Ali Group.
Eng. Raed Mohamed Al Salah, Director of Road Projects and Maintenance at the Works Ministry said the development works involved the rebuilding of Al Ghoos Road in the area between Road 9 to the south and Road 11 to the north and converting it into a two-lane dual carriage-way. Road 11 was rebuilt with low-lying pavements on both sides for pedestrians and car parking provided. Road 2651 was rebuilt with low-lying pavements on both sides for pedestrians and car parking provided. Traffic lights were installed at the junction of Al Ghoos Road and Road 11 for better organization of traffic on this key junction.
