Director of Roads Projects and Maintenance Directorate and Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Roads, Mr. Raed Al-Salah, lauded the support extended to the Ministry of Works by the General Directorate of Traffic in implementing the recent traffic diversion at Ummm Al- Hassam Junction on July, 24, 2009.
 
Al-Salah extended special thanks and appreciation to The General Director of the General Directorate of Traffic, Sheikh Abdul Rahman Bin Subah A-Khalifa, Major Ali Al Naemi and all those who have efficiently contributed to the success of the traffic diversion.

“The cooperation and understanding of all commuters in the area during the implementation of the new traffic diversion, and their adherence to the new traffic signals and signs has greatly contributed to ease of traffic at the diversion,” Mr. Al Salah added.

The goal of this diversion is to allow the contractor to excavate the eastern side of the underpass at the junction and to construct the flyover which will carry traffic movement from Mina Salman to Sitra. The project is part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to deliver professional services and make people’s lives more comfortable.
