Ministry of Works, in co-operation with the General Directorate of Traffic of the Ministry of the Interior, announces that the construction works of Bahrain International Airport (BIA) Access Improvement necessitate closure of some lanes as follows:
*Full closure of the left-turn lanes from Khalifa Al Kabeer Highway towards Bahrain International Airport (north). Traffic movement will be diverted to the opposite direction(contra-flow).
*Full closure of the slip lane from Arad Highway leading to Khalifa Al Kabeer Highway towards the airport (north), with an alternative route provided for traffic movement.
*Closure of the left-turn lanes from Khalifa Al Kabeer Highway towards Arad Highway. The traffic will be diverted to the surrounding roads.
The closure will be effective starting from Friday 21/11/2025 for a period of 3 months. All road users are requested to observe and obey the traffic rules for safety of all
