KHALAF MEETS ISA TOWN CONSUMER COOPERATIVE SOCIETY’S BOARD OF DIRECTORS

HE the Minister of Works, Municipalities Affairs & Urban Planning Eng. Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf received at his office Chairman of the Board of Directors of Isa Town Consumer Cooperative Society, in the presence of Secretary General of the Planning & Urban Development Authority Eng. Wael Mubarak Amin, Roads Planning & Design Director Eng. Kadhim Abdul Latif and Structural Planning Director Eng. Khalid Al Ansari.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of Isa Town Consumer Cooperative Society informed the Minister about the society's activities and 2015 annual report; commending the efforts extended by the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs & Urban Planning in improving infrastructure in the Kingdom.

The meeting also referred to the possibility of addressing Bapco to request that they lower the height of the front wall to Isa Town Petrol Station, as the present height blocks vision for vehicles exiting the petrol station to the main road.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of Isa Town Consumer Cooperative Society also proposed creating an entrance point only to Isa Town Mall along the road opposite to Isa Town Municipality Roundabout, re-planning Road 1012 in Block 810 close to Isa Town Southern Mosque belonging to Jaffari Endowments and Isa Town Southern Mosque belonging to the Sunni Endowments, re-planning and re-paving Road 4545 in Block 745.  

Also, the meeting referred to the provision of more parking spaces and making use of a number of areas and spaces in Isa Town, in addition to revamping internal roads in Sanad, particularly the main access to Estiqlal highway. Reference was also made to the shaded garages in front of houses, which occupies manholes and impedes parking along the main road. It was suggested that a campaign be organized to underline the negative impact of this phenomenon.

Majdi Al Nasheet proposed the construction of an additional speed hump along Avenue 45, improving traffic flow along Jerusalem Avenue, and finding a solution to the issue of vehicles for sale, which is disturbing residents in Isa Town. ​
