WORKS MINISTRY CONSTRUCTS AN ENTRANCE TO BLOCK 1034 IN MALKIYA AND THE ENVIRONS

Roads Projects & Maintenance Director at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities & Urban Planning Eng. Sayyed Bader Alawi revealed that the Ministry has commenced the construction of an entrance to Block 1034 in Malkiya and the environs at the Northern Governorate.

According to Alawi, the Dirt Roads Program is part of the Government's program aiming to improve infrastructure in the Kingdom, give priority to the paving of dirt roads in urban areas and create an integrated roads network in all areas in the Kingdom.

Alawi explained that works comprised of paving a total of 1.2km long roads, implementing ground channels for present and future use, implementing a storm water drainage network, installing a new lighting network, painting works and signage. The project is hoped to serve 90 housing units.

The BD203,593  project was awarded to Al Wardi Contracting.
