Roads Projects & Maintenance Director at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities & Urban Planning Eng. Sayyed Bader Alawi revealed that the Ministry has commenced the construction of Road 164 and the environs in Block 701 in Tubli, which is part of the dirt roads paving project and is hoped to serve 246 buildings in the area.
According to Alawi, the Dirt Roads Program is part of the Government's program aiming to improve infrastructure in the Kingdom, give priority to the paving of dirt roads in urban areas and create an integrated roads network in all areas in the Kingdom.
Alawi explained that works comprised of paving a total of 7.19km long roads, implementing ground channels for present and future use, implementing a storm water drainage network, installing a new lighting network, painting works and signage.
The BD702,382 project was awarded to Eastern Asphalt & Mixed Concrete Co WLL.
